This cable preacher curl with the swivel had the MOST lengthened focused resistance profile out of any preacher curl variation I’ve seen (even the free weight version). And tbh, a free weight variation like the flat preacher curl feels uncomfortable. But since this iswith a a cable, it feels super secure and the rom ends just outside a straight elbow. So if I was a gym designer, I’d get one of these machines and put it in all of my gyms. #fyp #fitness #gym #bodybuilding

I’d take the non-leaning variation over leaning since you can also take a sturdier wide stance to help stabilize yourself on the movement. Now first off, we wanna make sure the seat height is adjusted to the point where your hands reach the handle when you have your shoulder abducted to 90 degrees (that is, your arms make a 90 angle with your torso) Secondly, you ideally wanna get a deep stretch on this exercise to optimize the movement for hypertrophy.
