How it started vs how it’s going! In 2022, at 28 years old, after the Tokyo Olympic Games, I finally began to pursue my desire to learn more skill sets other than my expertise of Olympic taekwondo. I started learning parkour, acrobatics, film fighting, and different movement patterns I wasn’t use to or had ever done before. The current new skill sets you see here are from the past 3 years of becoming everything I feel called to become. My evolution as an athlete and person. I am overly grateful that God has allowed me to continue evolving as an athlete the last 3 years, despite having 6 knee surgeries and not having a meniscus in my left knee. You won’t find me running 5 miles, but you will find me pursuing my God given dream and becoming like my childhood hero, Jackie Chan. In 2023 I had a hard time hanging onto another Olympic pursuit or letting go and moving on to stunts and the film industry. To tell you the truth, I had a hard time letting go because all I knew was Olympic Taekwondo. I prayed and worked hard in developing new skill sets and also trained hard in my professional skill set as an Olympic taekwondo athlete. I wanted to make sure I was fully open to do what God had for me. In February 2024, God made it very clear to me as he shut one door and opened this new door in my life in the same week. I was finally able to let go of my past dreams and walk into the new promises God has for my life. My dreams are new and exciting to me. The best advice I can give for now, let go of what’s not for you. God will always walk you into the better blessing for your life. Everything has it’s season in order to shape you. Becoming an Olympian shaped me into a resilient strong woman of God. I would not changed my strength for anything because that is how God has shaped me for His purpose. Watch me grow into Gods calling for my life. 🕊️
