When we got married, we had a plan. Wait 5 years to even think about children and spend it focusing on ourselves. Traveling and enjoying alone time. But then God changed us completely a year in. It’s actually one of the worst ideas we’ve ever had! We ended up having our first child 2 years after we got married and we’ve been pregnant every year since. And not looking back! Take it from us…if you’re getting married or newly married don’t make the same mistake. Children are the blessed fruit of your union to be welcomed and enjoyed…in abundance. In fact I’m only in Genesis for my yearly Bible in a year and only 2 weeks in and God has already said “be fruitful and multiply” 4x! Several years ago, I got hundreds of comments that my marriage was sin. That Yahuah is against mixing races. I was so committed to honoring him I agreed to repent if they were right. I’ve searched scriptures for over ten years now. It’s not in there. Nothing in the Bible is about race. It’s about who you serve. It’s about who you worship. When he says not to intermarry, he’s referring to not marrying other unbelieving nations. To make sure you are not unequally yoked. There’s generational consequences for marrying an unbeliever, not to mention so much heartache. If our lives are for Him, marrying an unbeliever will be the hardest thing you put yourself through. Love for each other isn’t enough. We should love Yahuah more than anyone else. Even Moses married outside his race and when he was mocked for doing so, Yahuah punished those that had something to say about it. Don’t search for your future spouse based on their race or good looks. Search for a man and woman that loves Yahuah and puts him first. We first and foremost love Yahuah. (Gods original Hebrew name) We have 11 children so far and we trust Yahuah to open or close the womb in his time. We homeschool. We’re a basketball family and hubs runs a basketball community. (Almost all of us play basketball.) We don’t vaccinate. We home church. We aren’t a denomination. We just follow the Bible. And all ministry matters no matter how big or small. Don’t put your ministry at home ahead of your ministry at work or in church and don’t put your ministry at work or in church ahead of your ministry at home. Value people and ministry in general and work as unto the Lord. Invest in people and love them hard.
