I forgot to post this on TikTok (the party is on IG), but I couldn’t let this slide. My bride and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary on Tuesday! Someone asked my wife and I the other day, “What’s the secret to a 19 year marriage?” I don’t believe there is a secret. There are known truths. If I could share any tip or strategy that has sustained us through the years, it would be this: Fall in love again… and again…and again. In the 24 years we’ve dated and the 19 years we’ve been married, we have both changed. Our preferences, priorities, interests, personalities, even our bodies have changed. The thing we had to learn was to fall in love with who we were becoming, not who we were in a past season. Change and growth are scary in marriage but that’s where the blessings are.
