Griffith says: “Some car drivers get stressed from traffic. They need to reach locations fast but are unable to due to the dimensions of their vehicle. When they see a Bike pass between cars it can heighten that stress level because they feel powerless. Bikes are hard to see when they are driving straight towards you. Due to how thin bikes are compared to 4 wheeled vehicles. Due to this reason, a lot of people get scares when a bike approaches them sooner than they expected, and the knee-jerk reaction they get is to think the rider is driving recklessly by speeding. Motorcycles are cool and there's a sense of danger. They are lustful and attractive to many people, but some can't overlook the associated dangers enough to buy one themselves, so instead they envy. Some people lose loved ones who were riding motorcycles, and that's a different kind of hate, one we can't fight. Until they overcome that loss, there is nothing we can say or do. Then there are of course those reckless drivers, the ones we typically call squids that only enhance the negative feelings I just mentioned” Personally I ride within my comfort. I may take more risk on occasion or I may just chill and cruise but no matter how I am riding I try to remain calm, focused and reactive to avoid any situations I wouldn’t find ideal. Not everyone will approve of my antics but I don’t take their disapproval or frustration to heart. I excercise caution and use descalation skills to prevent any issues with potential road ragers who may be set off by my presence or actions. I’m not interested in waging war against Cagers while I’m sharing the road with them. Neither of us owns the road and I am more than happy to share it. Ride Your Ride and pay close attention to people around you. RIDE SAFE ✌🏿
