Women over 40 can have a tendency to lose all hope with makeup and skincare because 1) they haven’t learned how to do it and 2) their skin is changing which presents new challenges. For example, color matching yourself can be really difficult. As we age, our skin tone deepens. I’m a full two shades deeper than I was when working for Lancôme in my early 20’s. It’s crazy to think about but it makes sense. As we age, we develop more age spots, freckles, and hyperpigmentation so of course we need a darker foundation shade. Truth 💣!
