I couldn’t bring myself to post anything yesterday. These LA fires are terrifying. I am luckily to able to be out of LA right now. But my friends and family are there and we even have friends that had to come stay with us as the fire is right near their house and they have to watch on the Ring camera to see if their house is on fire. A cousin lost her home yesterday. Pacific Palisades, one of the most beautiful areas in CA is destroyed. It’s devastating and horrifying and I’ve been a complete mess. So many people have no power and have no idea where the next fire might pop up. I worry about the people and animals and the birds. There are so many deer in these areas. Coyotes and mountain lions and all sorts of other animals. People running with animals in their arms and having to set horses free. Hard to even get your mind around it. I have something a little different today. #lumadreammachine put out a new version of their text to video software called #Ray2. It’s pretty cool. I just made a bunch of clips yesterday and edited them together giving an idea of how the video looks. They have been so kind to invite me into their Creative Partners Program so I get the app for free and get to test things out early. I feel super lucky. This is all text to video. I normally do image to video as that’s what I prefer but it was fun trying to come up with image ideas. I actually find it harder because text to video doesn’t do the whacky sort of stuff I normally love to do. I made this video and song about finding happiness. I had a black rescue dog named Cooper who was rescued off the streets of Cancun. We adopted him from our friend’s rescue, @Maeday Rescue. He loved to walk so much that walking him brought me joy and everything looked more beautiful. We went on really long walks and you could just feel his happiness and it was my favorite thing to do. When he died it was so hard. I still love to walk but Ithink of him all the time and miss him so much He was so special. There is one scene in this video where he actually appears.
