On January 15th, 2025, the Albuquerque Police Department got notifications about a stolen vehicle in the area of Montgomery and San Mateo Blvds. According to a criminal complaint, they were able to locate a stolen Volkswagen with two occupants inside and officers tried to do a traffic stop while the vehicle was parked at a local business. APD officers observed two occupants inside the vehicle during their initial observations. The complaint goes on to say, a man in the passenger seat quickly got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle now occupied once then fled from law enforcement. The man told police he met the woman a few days ago and they were going to go buy drugs together. He identified the driver as 20-year-old Alayna Romero of Albuquerque. In the meantime, the car drove recklessly throughout the NE part of Albuquerque with Romero driving like a maniac trying to get away from the police. The complaint states that APD’s air support unit was able to follow Romero’s every movement safely from the sky. APD officers were able to set up spike strips for the vehicles tires. The vehicle ran over the spikes and Romero ditched the now useless car near the 2500 block of Graceland Ave. She was carrying bags with her during a foot chase with officers and she eventually ditched the bags. She was caught at a nearby mobile home park. Officers found drugs and drug pipes in the bags she ditched. She had a slight case of incarceritis and complained of splinters in her feet. She was taken to a local hospital for assessment but eventually booked into MDC. Romero is charged with embezzlement of a motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing law enforcement, failure to render aid, possession of a controlled substance, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia,#fypシ #fyp #albuquerque #abq #police #policeofficer #cops #policeoftiktok #crazycat #woman #gta

Around 10:30AM on January 28th, 2025, the Albuquerque Police Department were made aware of a stolen car that was driving around Albuquerque. Units from the Northeast area command were able to find the vehicle. When officers crossed over into the Southeast area command they tried to stop the vehicle near the 340 block of Charleston St NE. Once the car stopped a couple juvenile aged people jumped out of the car and fled from officers. APD officers were involved in a foot chase and were able to take a single juvenile into custody. It turns out that after a search of the young man officers found a firearm with an extended magazine on his person. While on scene we observed an APD crime scene specialist processing the gun and extended magazine. La Mesa Elementary was put on a brief lockdown as APD tried to locate the other teens involved in the fleeing stolen car. The attempt to find the other runners was unsuccesful. While on scene two young family members kept coming back and forth to the scene telling officers to pass a message on to their now juvenile felon family member. Since this young man is a juvenile we will be barred from access to a criminal complaint and a booking mug for him because of his fragile young state of mind. We can at least assume he would be charged by officers with aggravated fleeing from law enforcement, juvenile in possession of a firearm, and receiving/transporting a stolen vehicle. #fypシ #fyp #albuquerque #abq #police #policeofficer #cops #policeoftiktok #newmexico #streetcorner #stolen #stolencar #teen

Around the middle of the day on January 22nd, 2025, the Albuquerque Police Department observed a black Jeep SUV driving erratically in traffic on metro city streets. APD’s Air Support plane observed the SUV driving like a madman on north second St. Officers noted that the vehicle was stolen. APD officers at one point attempted a traffic stop at a local business but the vehicle fled. APD identified the driver as, 35-year-old Samuel Lopez-Lozano of Albuquerque. APD officers on the ground did not engage in the pursuit however on one occasion, the car was seen by Air Support jumping the median and almost colliding with another vehicle. As the driver continued his mayhem, he nearly struck a motorcyclist. He then crashed into a few vehicles on 4th and Montano and continued his dangerous driving southbound on 2nd street towards Osuna Rd NW. The driver eventually drove east bound on a dead end road on Roehl Rd NW where Lopez-Lozano ditched the vehicle near a home. Two occupants a male driver (Lopez-Lozano) and a female got out of the vehicle and fled on foot towards the train tracks between Edith and 2nd Streets. APD officers were able to contain the pair and got them into custody on Edith. The male driver Lopez-Lozano was arrested and the female driver apparently knew nothing about anything so she was released after being detained for a short time. The charges for Lopez-Lozano are reckless driving, aggravated fleeing law enforcement, and receiving transferring a stolen vehicle. He has a felony record in New Mexico dating back to 2017 with most charges being stolen vehicle charges. Most of those cases were dismissed for a variety of reasons. It is almost certain Lopez-Lozano will be free soon to steal more cars and wreak more havoc on our city streets. #fypシ #fyp #albuquerque #abq #police #policeofficer #cops #policeoftiktok #streetcorner #stolen #stolencar

Albuquerque – In a statement released from the Albuquerque Police Department’s PIO on January 24, 2025, it was announced that an APD officer was shot and injured overnight during an exchange of gunfire with a suspect at a Northeast Heights apartment complex. The call for service purportedly began as a possible home invasion call. APD has said that the officer is conscious and expected to be okay. The officer was shot in the leg. He has been transported to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. The suspect was shot and died at the scene of the apartment complex, which is located at 3958 Montgomery Blvd. NE, just east of Carlisle Blvd. A resident of one of the apartments was also struck by gunfire. That individual was transported to the hospital. Their condition is presently unknown, but a neighbor in the complex reported the bystander appeared to have been struck in the arm. The Multi-Agency Task Force is currently investigating the shooting incident. APD stated that more information will be shared later. Chief Medina is currently at the hospital and will provide a briefing once he receives additional details from investigators. As APD investigates, eastbound Montgomery is blocked off between Carlisle and Morningside. Just before 5:00AM, we observed that APD’s mobile crime scene RV was seen parked on Montgomery just east of Carlisle. #fypシ #fyp #albuquerque #abq #police #policeofficer #cops #policeoftiktok #newmexico
On Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were dispatched to the area of Central Ave and San Pablo St SE for reports of a BMW that was chasing a man on a scooter. According to a witness, the erratically behaving BMW driver was making multiple passes and even making U-turns to go after the scooter occupant. Officers were able to stop the BMW driver before serious injuries were sustained. The incident ended in the International District Library parking lot where APD officers were able to detain the two men who were involved in the incident. The BMW driver was upset his scooter was stolen and wanted it back. The man in the BMW took matters into his own hands and tried to knock the other man off of his scooter. The other man was detained by police and was not giving straight answers. While on scene, we observed the suspect not wanting to give his name to officers. He eventually did give his name and he was found to have outstanding warrants. He also did not want to pursue charges against the BMW driver for trying to hit him. The driver was released and he left the scene. Albuquerque Fire responded to the scene because the man with the warrants had a very severe case of incarceritis and he wanted to be checked out by EMS. He was able to parlay his warrant status to a delayed trip to jail with a hospital evaluation. We will update this story if we learn anymore information. #fypシ #fyp #albuquerque #abq #police #policeofficer #cops #scooter
