It could be because they don't have a clear goal or plan. It could be because they're feeling overwhelmed by the task at hand. It could be because they're afraid of failure. It could be because they're not confident in their abilities. (Side note these are all things an #adhdcoach can help with) šŸ‘šBut for me and the PJā€™s saga it was probably because the driving 20 minutes to pick up something I had already paid for felt like too much to add onto my list.  Whatever the reason, procrastination is a common issue that ADHDers struggle with. ADHD is considered trauma all by itself. You donā€™t need to have experienced big - T Trauma for it to be considered trauma.  The corrections and criticism alone from childhood creates trauma. So as an adult, you might think you accept yourself and trust yourself, but trauma responses can manifest in a lot of different ways. The biggest mistake people make in the first week of working on their goals is doing too much, too fast. We dive in full speedā€”motivated, excited, andā€¦ overwhelmed. Thatā€™s the quickest way to lose steam. Hereā€™s what works instead: šŸ”¶ Start small. Big goals are achieved through small, consistent steps. Begin with one or two actions.
