As the puppies slept soundly, cuddled up on our laps last night, I was telling my husband that rescuing Mazzy adopting Moose this year was definitely not planned. I saw an urgent post late at night about a little dog named Archie, who was curled up in the shelter needing immediate rescue. After my work call the following morning I raced to the shelter to be there when they opened. Luckily, Bubbles Dog Rescue was there a few minutes earlier and pulled him. In my heart I knew that I drove an hour there for a reason… when I saw a litter of puppies confiscated due to animal cruelty along with their mom, I knew they were my reason. I brought Mazzy home immediately because she was scared, withdrawn, and curled up in the corner. Then I lined up a foster home for the rest of the family. Luckily my friend Courtney Rockin R Rescue allowed me to use her empty dog kennels/runs. So I went back and pulled their Mom Mabel, and the rest of the litter. I’m so glad that they all found wonderful homes… However, Moose was still waiting, so I brought him home to foster…. Immediately, my family fell in love with him. So as you all know, he never left. Here we are with two extra bundles of love to share our home with, and their siblings adopted along with their mom, all because of Archie ❤️. That little dog helped save 5 extra lives that day. Thank you Saving Riverside Shelter Dogs for sharing that video of Archie and going above and beyond to network urgent dogs in need of rescue. 🐶❤️ If you are interested in becoming a foster, or adopting, please message me directly, or email us at
