Pakistan’s religious freedom and tolerance took a deep dive due to the Talibanization imposed upon it after the
#Russians invaded Afghanistan in 1979. A vast majority of
#Afghans fled first to
#Pakistan and were given safe refuge after which most of them went to the west as refugees. But for all it’s fault which I as a Pakistani, American faith, leader, and the Chair of the religious freedom Roundtable for Pakistan, worked tirelessly to alleviate, the role of Pakistan in accommodating refugees millions and millions of Afghan refugees for almost 3 decades is often underappreciated and overlooked. This is how the women live in Pakistani refugee camps! They are allowed to cover their hair or not their hair. It is up to them. They are allowed to celebrate their ethnic and cultural events. They are allowed to sing- yet in their own country, freed by us- the US, and handed over to Taliban, they are not allowed to sing. It is time for the United Nations to actually put our tax dollars to work by repatriating the millions of refugees back to Afghanistan. These moderate Muslims can go back to their country and build a bigger moderate Muslim block to counter the operation of women by Taliban. It is also time for the United Nations to cautiously send the Syrian refugees back to Syria. Living in refugee status and claiming that status for years after liberation of their homelands, is counterproductive to the cause of refugees. @EliseStefanik @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @elonmusk @VivekGRamaswamy @antonioguterres @USAmbUN @PakPMO @CMShehbaz @AAliZardari @NawazSharifMNS @BBhuttoZardari @ImranKhanPTI @HouseForeign @SenateForeign @EUinAfghanistan @EUintheUS @OIC_OCI
