On December 17, 2024 around 3 pm, a Cessna 208 operated by Kamaka Air, a cargo airline that operates between the Hawaiian Islands, was on a training flight. Upon take off, the two men encountered an issue causing the plane to suddenly fall left. With no way of recovering. The two pilots were able to at least manuver the plane to avoid occupied buildings, roads and the plane fuel containers where they ended up crashing into a vacant building. This ended with the result of two casualties, the two pilots, and no injuries. Kamaka, the FAA, and the NTSB continue to uncover the true cause of the incident, RIP to the pilots.
