DAMASCUS AIRPORT PARTIALLY REOPENS
For the first time since the ouster of Bashar al-Assad,
#Syria’s new de facto government has announced the resumption of flights from
#Damascus airport. The first passenger plane was an internal flight, bound for
#Aleppo in northern Syria. There are no international flights scheduled, as the security conditions across the country remain unclear. The rehabilitation of the airport included changing flags and slogans and repairing some of the damage caused by the unrest that occurred on the same day that the Assad government was ousted.
