Everybody talk about … ✨my volcanic ensemble✨ I love how some people are using this song to show off the things they like -- from their unique personal style to unusual hobbies or collections. So I thought I'd jump on this trend and put my own spin on it 🎶 😎 🦆 I have many interests, hobbies, skills, and such myself, but the one thing that I feel I'm the most unapologetic about is my personal style. As you can see, it's largely inspired by Duckie's Teddy Boy aesthetic in "Pretty in Pink". I love how versatile and wild it is. I can dress it up, make it casual, go super experimental, or keep it simple. No matter my mood, though, the basic formula is always there. Layers, pattern and texture mixing, fashion hats, oversized blazers and shirts, vests, bolo ties, suspenders, patches and pins, cuffed sleeves and pants, and outrageous shoes (if only I had Duckie's creepers in black, though!). Another reason I love Duckie's style is it reminds me of how I used to dress when I was a kid back in the late 80s and very early 90s. My personal style back then was inspired by one of my most favorite TV show characters, Punky Brewster, and Mork from "Mork and Mindy." I loved how both were an explosion of different, often mismatched, colors. Sometimes I'd mix and mismatch my clothing, especially my socks, and rock some suspenders (my favorite pair were rainbow ones like Mork had). Sadly, I let the bullies get to me when they kept making fun of what I wore, and I stopped expressing myself through clothes. I did that to blend in and survive the K-12 experience up until I entered college and the workforce about a quarter of a century ago. Since then, I've rediscovered what it's like to be unapologetic about the things I love, and especially about what I wear. And I've never looked back. #duckie #duckiedale #prettyinpink #joncryer #johnhughes #80s #80saesthetic #80sfashion #thrifted #thriftedfashion #teddyboy #fashion #style #mashup #OOTD #grwm #mfactor #popmuzik #alwaysaduckman #zeekcrew

Sorry I was gone, but look, I made you some content 😎🦆✨ Seriously, though. Apologies for the most heinous hiatus! It's been a good while since I posted anything new that wasn't an old, unpublished draft or a repost of old content. Life got in the way, and I especially needed to take a mental health break. While I still need to iron out some remaining wrinkles in my life, I’m confident in saying that I’m officially back. And get ready…because I have LOADS of ideas for content planned, particuarly some fun style mashups, which is my most favorite content to create, as many of you know. All that said, I hope you enjoy this silly video, especially the Easter eggs, which my longtime followers know I oftentimes love to insert into my content *wink* and the cameos of a couple of special guests *wink wink* And I’m sure many of my longest of longtime followers will recognize from this montage which scenes I’ve already recreated from “Pretty in Pink” and … which ones I still need to recreate *wink wink wink* 😜 #duckie #duckiedale #prettyinpink #johnhughes #joncryer #80s #80sfashion #80saesthetic #boburnham #haelstormdesigns #mannequinfemmecosplay #alwaysaduckman #zeekcrew @Lisa @Jenny Hale
