Anza Borrego wildflower guide β¬οΈπΊπ΅ NOW (early March) is THE time to head down to the desert to catch these beautiful California Poppies & desert wildflowers. Where to go in Anza: πΈ Henderson Canyon is the place to spot these babies. There is plenty of parking along the road and many spots where it's easy & safe to walk into the fields without stepping on flowers π Sunrise is the best time to visit for amazing photos and to have the fields all to yourself!! And, if you are lucky, you may just catch a rainbow off in the mountains (seriously pinching myself this was so cool!) π± I was NOT prepared for how amazing the air smelled in these fields. 5 unique places in California β¬οΈ Since this really is the best state and I could spend a lifetime just exploring it. π find 130 metal sculptures by artist Ricardo Breceda around the Borrego Springs desert. They're all free to visit! My favorite is the sea dragon and T-Rex π₯ Buckeye Hot Springs in Bridgeport is such a gem. It's a bit of a scramble down to these hot spring pools, but you'll be rewarded with tons of space to soak and a small creek to do cold plunges in π¦ Moaning Caverns in Calaveras is home to the largest single cave in California. You can take a guided tour deep into the cave, or even do a spelunking tour (I'm not brave enough for that lol) π¬ Patricks in Bodega Bay has the best taffy on the West Coast (maybe the country?!) I love all their flavors, but Huckleberry has always been a fave. You can't miss them on Hwy 1 π¦ Shark Fin Cove in Davenport is always a must-stop for me when I drive down Hwy 1. It's best viewed from atop the bluff so you can gaze down and see the shark fin shape!
