Replying to @ProfReproJusticePHD in this particular case, the who is less important than the what. there are so many people that engage in this behavior that you could be thinking of one person and I’m thinking about someone else entirely. What matters is it’s a pattern of behavior that becomes pretty obvious once you realize what you should be looking for. Replying to @Missyboss1 while I genuinely understand where you’re coming from, this is one of the ways in which we silence and police one another as Black women and I don’t want us to do that either. The world does it to us enough as it is. Ultimately we all have to do what is best for us and support those who we feel are deserving of our support or good representatives of us. We’re not all going to agree however now more than ever we need to be very mindful of how we speak about other Black women publicly.
