It causes envy. Envy: a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck. Most people will go to their graves playing a role and those who choose authenticity causes them to look at themselves. Life has humbled me many times over, which caused me to realize that I don’t have the “privileges” that most women have. Pretty privilege doesn’t exist in my world because I am authentically myself which causes people to notice, pick me apart, attack and envy me. The reasons for the reactions I get from people are beyond my looks, it’s what I posses that cannot be explained… It’s what cannot be touched or replicated. Its what people mean when they tell me “I don’t know how to feel around you” People confuse my confidence with arrogance… People attack and humble arrogance. I have been on the receiving end of attacks even before I knew what it meant to be authentic… I’ve always possessed the unseen… I’ve always had a visceral effect on people. MOST people are not authentic, most don’t have the courage to withstand what comes with authenticity. This is why I aggressively protect myself… I allow nothing to slide, I know humans want to destroy what they don’t understand… They want to destroy me… Especially because they can’t explain or want to admit to why they are affected. Humans are viscerally affected by my existence and they can’t explain why, so they use what they can see… My looks, makeup, red lipstick, sarcasm, wit…. And most importantly my ability to protect and stand up for myself, that’s what offends people the most… If I had low self worth, most humans would love me because that is relatable. Humans are animals who spend their lives trying to hide or evolve… Most will do the former.
