I grieve the life and experiences. My child could’ve had the excitement he could’ve felt going and doing something special the way he would’ve been able to communicate his needs easier instead of frustration it’s frustrating having to explain a disability over and over again, but I know they know nothing about it and the reason it’s so misunderstood is because the lack of knowledge Neurotypical children’s parents most of the time do not understand the everyday struggles of an autism mom and what goes through our heads, our schedule works by our child’s schedule therapies day after day struggling to get them to eat healthy foods or eat at all IEP/TAC Meetings therapy follow ups it’s exhausting and your doing fantastic and the thing about us autism moms we will give you the shirts off our backs we wear our hearts on our sleeves we will pick you up when you are down we will listen to your needs while crying about our own and we will adapt to any situation thrown our way we were given our children because we could handle it because we are strong, good advocates we always put our children first we could spread awareness we never accept defeat We will never be “normal” parents and that’s okay because we do so much more that’s unnoticed by others 🧩❤️🧡💛💚🩵#a#autismawarenessn#nonverbals#supportneedsfamilya#autismsuckss#safefoodsautisma#autismgrief
