By removing that cable, we can fully separate the remains of the back panel and then thoroughly clear out every speck of glass debris. Once the old adhesive is stripped away, we apply a fresh layer of waterproof glue around the edges - similar to how the screen adhesive works. The choice of replacement glass is critical: Apple now offers an official diagnostic-friendly back glass that's extremely costly, but we opt instead for a reliable salvaged back glass.
