📢Before you spend hundreds of hours (or way too much $$) designing a fancy logo, STOP and read this!✋🏽 💥Did you know that in 2005, my kids’ schools stopped teaching kids how to write in CURSIVE? 😳 True story. My daughters tease me about writing in cursive all the time—because they can barely read my writing! My youngest even said recently, “Mom, you do know that cursive is NO LONGER the universal language of the people, right?!!” LOL😜 (Little Brat!) And guess what….👉🏽she’s right!👈🏽 Here’s why this matters to you as a business owner: 💥Although cursive logos are beautiful… if your ideal clients are Gen Z, or you’re serving customers under the age of 25, they will STRUGGLE to decode your fancy ass logo! Imagine someone squinting at your storefront sign like it’s a hieroglyph!😳 So here’s my message to you: 💥Your logo isn’t just another form of fun art that you get to create; it’s a communication tool for your customers. 💥It should be clear, timeless, and recognizable at a glance—for mostly everyone! So, whether it’s on your business card, a cupcake box, or a TikTok thumbnail, I’d highly suggest you stick to more basic, PRINT type of fonts, vs. all these loops, swoops and swirls. (leave all that for your piping bags!) If you’re stuck thinking 💭 “But I want my logo to be cute and swirly”, remember: What’s cute is having customers, and a brand that’s recognized in your community, that makes customers want to RETURN and buy more stuff.🙌🏽 👩🍳 When I ran my bakery, I learned that people don’t need “fancy.” They need clarity. So, as you craft your brand, ask yourself: Can my logo speak for itself to a generation raised on emojis and TikTok? If not, it’s time for a redo. Let’s keep it readable, relatable, and on-brand. 💕 Your customers (and your future customers) will thank you. What are your thoughts?🤔👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 PS: If your brand could use a refresh, DM me! I’ve got tips for days! 😉
