2024: A Year of Trials, Growth, and Grace Without a doubt, 2024 was one of the hardest years I’ve ever had to navigate as an adult. Watching a loved one battle addiction, losing my daughter’s heart horse far too soon, and facing a layoff after 15 years with a large corporation—it felt like the devil never took a break. Since Terry’s mom passed in 2023, we’ve made it a priority to take his dad every other weekend, giving his brother a moment to breathe. Through all of this, our sales weren’t record-breaking, and that’s okay. There were moments I needed to step away from social media and life in general, to regroup and find my footing again. But even amidst the heartache, there were blessings. I met new friends in the wreath-making world, traveled to a new city, and went on a much-needed girl’s trip (even during another hurricane). I leaned into my creativity, organized donations for East Tennessee families, hosted my first in-person wreath class, lost 25 pounds, completed 4 barn markets, became an LTK Creator, and helped Olivia by pulling a horse trailer for my first long distance road trip to Shelbyville, TN where she placed “Lil Mike” in training. I’m beginning to lean on God more and more, even when the weight feels unbearable. That reel I sent a friend saying I’d like to “unsubscribe from God’s strongest soldier list” might have been a joke, but I mean it—I’m ready for 2025 to bring peace and joy. Here’s to closing the chapter on 2024 and stepping into a new year with faith, hope, and gratitude for all the lessons (and the grace) along the way. 2025 can’t come soon enough! Happy New Year!
