The RRL (@Ralph Lauren) Spring Catalog is here! And I have some thoughts… With an overall theme of motorcyclists in the 1920s, the new spring line from Double RL features a clothing selection that I feel may verge on the edge of costumey. That being said, there are some incredible pieces in this drop as well! Take, for instance, the Indigo Leather Work Jacket, the Union Work Shirts, and all the Engineer Jackets. SO cool! However, none of those items were a part of the overall “biker” theme - and anything western was all but nonexistent. Personally, I think if you’re gonna do a biker theme, the 50s and 60s are much more interesting, cool, and rich with fashion impact! Think Tom Hardy in the Bikeriders movie. That’s much more up my alley. But let me know what you think!
