This here is Hercules. Hercules came to us two winters ago, after he suddenly lost his eye sight and wasn’t able to be used as a workhorse any longer. Herc was still a stud when he came to us, so the combination of that and suddenly loosing his sight.. he was a giant ball of anxiety. That was until he met his Holly, the matriarch of their herd. Holly is Herc’s best friend and his eyes. Occasionally Hercules will get lost from Holly, and run around calling for her until she either calls back.. he detects her scent.. or I lead him back to her… which is what you see here. If I start running he will almost always follow the sound of my footsteps and then Holly will meet us along the way. Their love is that soulmate kinda love you read about in fairytales ❤️ . : Thank you all so much for supporting our five dollar Friday for feed. It’s wild to think about how I use to go to the feed store and load up a cart or two for the week… versus where we are today.. with almost 150 bags getting delivered bi-weekly. I am so thankful to our feed supplier @oxfordfeedlumber for making the journey to our new home and for always meeting our needs. However, we can assure you, Two years of being blessed with this beautiful senior who has shown us what true hope, resilience and warrior looks like!
