so many new faces!! hi I’m Ali and I’m a sculpture and installation artist based… wherever I am at the moment. sometimes New York, sometimes South Florida, and sometimes Durham. my art is inspired by the healing process, bodies, dreams, nightmares, and the beyond. my work touches on topics of sex&l and religious tra!ma in project like ‘mommy’ and ‘/200.’ each of the white casts you see on my page are a part of the ‘/200’ project where I cast surviv0rs of SA and listen to their stories. 1,801 people have come forward through that work. ‘mommy’ is an ongoing body of work dissect!ng the “cult mentality”/ h!rm of evangelicalism and pur!ty culture. most of the pieces with hyperrealistic hands and faces are a part of this “body” (no pun intended) of work. I share parts of my process and my thoughts on this page as well as casting dates/locations and exhibition updates.
