Rating Colorado ski resorts based on how beginner/intermediate friendly they are! (Part 5) ❄️ B R E C K E N R I D G E ❄️ My rating: 9/10 Breckenridge is an amazing place to learn how to ski! It’s also awesome for all skill levels. There’s something for everyone! 👍 Pros: - Specific beginners area with a very slow, gentle ski lift (Quicksilver Superchair) - Bunny hill area at the base (Camelback Playter & Learning Area) - Tons of wide open easy greens throughout most of the mountain - A few easy blues for when you gain some confidence - Restaurant at the top of the beginners area - Awesome town - Runs for beginners all the way through expert so it’s great for everyone! 👎 Cons - Very high altitude - Can get pretty busy on the weekends The ONLY reason I didn’t give this resort a perfect 10/10, is the altitude. The base is at 9,600ft. This means you might feel extra winded, slightly dizzy, and a minor headache for the first day or two. Nothing to be worried about though! Just make sure you drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, and take it easy your first two days. My favorite runs: 💚 Frontier 💚 Silverthorne 💚 Red Rover 💚 Lower Sundown 💙 Cashier 💙 Bonanza 💙 Columbia 💙 4 O’Clock ⛷️ Here’s what I’d do if I was a first-timer or just a super cautious beginner: 1️⃣ Start out on the Camelback Platter & Learning area if you need to 2️⃣ Take the Quicksilver Superchair and try Silverthorne 3️⃣ Take the Quicksilver Superchair back up and do Frontier, Red Rover, or Silverthorne as many times as you’d like! *Once you’re ready for easy blues, take the Beaver Run Superchair and try Bonanza. You can take a right to take Lower American and Eldorado back down to the base. Want more of a challenge? Take the Beaver Rin Superchair and try Columbia to Lower Sundown. Then take the Sunshine Express lift to do it again! Feel free to DM me if you have any questions!
