one year into marriage we got the worst phone call. Mike stepped out of his surgery and they told us. “we found cancer” our lives changed in an instant. “it’s in the breast and the lymph node” a million questions raced through our minds.. am I going to die? how bad is it? is it everywhere? am I going to lose my hair? does this mean I can’t have a baby? we learned very quickly that we are not in control. my diagnosis has day after day been a lesson in letting go. I don’t know how we would have made it through those first few nights without our faith. we clung to it. 5 star steak in the ER 🆘 only the best for our husband! 🛟 ended up in the emergency room this weekend praise Jesus I am ok 🙏🏼🙏🏼 but l could tell our husband was very concerned. We had flown to Pittsburgh to take Queen Linda home and I got HUGE swelling in my legs - my oncologist estimated it was 10 -15 pounds of water weight in my legs alone. I felt ok but (because I have the “c” word) our husband said this could be a sign of a serious heart problem or a blood clot in my legs. Since he’s a doctor I listen to him sometimes lol. While I got the ultrasound on my legs I sent him steak from Le Bilbouquet I know, I know you’re supposed to order the Cajun chicken there. Don’t judge 🫣 but check out the end of this caption for when I think I’ll be able to wash my hair again 🫣💗 so when i found out i had breast cancer they said i had the option to try and keep my hair (by doing cold capping). it’s hard as hell (you sit with -30 degree caps of dry ice squeezing your head so so so tight) it’s not for the faint of heart. and turns a 3 hour chemo day into a 9 hour chemo day BUT look at all of the hair I kept. 💖 I also got 2 wigs ready but I can’t wear them until after I am done with chemo and cold capping. That’s the kicker…. During cold capping and the months of chemo you are not supposed to touch you hair at all. No hot tools, no dry shampoo… not even a hat or a wig to hide the grease. I’m gonna have a little party the day I get to wash my hair in the shower and get all up in there with suds. also, getting fired from @Chili’s Grill & Bar is probably its own story / video because it’s two fold but I did try really hard to be a great waitress.🌶️♥️ I basically couldn’t carry the trays because I was so tiny and the rule was when the food came out (no matter who’s table it was: whoever was standing in the kitchen had to take it to that table (so the food was hot, which makes sense) and I had a terrible fear about dropping one so I would just stay on the floor and refill everyone else’s tables drinks ALL DAY. Like there was not a drink that wasn’t filled to the brim if I was working 🤣 anything to avoid the kitchen at all costs (to avoid the trays) 👀 and then on top of that I didn’t really understand why they wanted me to push the boneless buffalo wings so hard. I felt like as long as people got an appetizer it would be fine and the customers should get what THEY were really craving and what they really loved. and that it shouldn’t be up to me or Chilis. I mean it’s THEIR APPETIZER ♥️ anyway, now that I have a business, I should probably be able to understand that better but I dunno. I think the customer is #1 that being said Chilis is certainly a lot bigger than the bar soooooo 🫣🫣🫣Anyway, I’m still a fan. I love their ranch. ♥️ also, my energy is kinda low in this video bc im so beat today but it feels good to make content.
