This week's episode of the #podcast we discussed the #american #goddess #columbia and how the capital of the nation is named after her 🖤 Sadly this Goddess has largely faded into obscurity and #history but she was once a beautiful example of what the USA was founded in and based on. In the Revolutionary war she was America's answer to the world as how we wanted to be seen and represented. The song "Hail, Columbia" was sang as the biggest contender for the National Anthem besides the Star Spangled Banner. Initially, she was portrayed as Britannia's daughter and then her sister as she was used to represent us much like Britannia (UK), Germania (Germany), Marianne (France).
