Follow @travelinthoms for budget camping tips! 🚐 🤯 We’ve been traveling full time in our RV since March 2022 and THIS is the best way to afford camping in the Florida Keys for 2-3 weeks at a time…Thousand Trails. 📌 About Thousand Trails: Before we became full time, we stayed at Sunshine Key in April 2021 and paid nearly $3k in retail to stay here in non-peak season. Since getting our Thousand Trails Membership, we’ve been able to camp in the keys for that same price for over 4 months during peak and non-peak season. Monthly sites now retail here for nearly $4,500 a month…which is INSANE! 💰 There are two keys campground locations - Sunshine Key and Fiesta Key 🏝️ 📌 Affordable Membership Options: We recommend to anyone at a minimum to get the Camping Pass which is around $1k and is good for 1 year. With this pass, you can camp in the Keys for 2 weeks at a time throughout the year. It’s cheaper to get the camping pass and pay the $20/night fee versus paying the retail price of $2k/week. Plus they have locations all over the US you can camp at using the camping pass. 🎉 With a full membership, you can camp here for up to 3 weeks at a time throughout the year; this is what we have. Trust us, you will get your ROI back, we sure have! Share this with someone you want to camp in the keys with! 🌊 #budgettips #budgetcamping #freecamping #thousandtrails #campingtips #rvtips #fulltimerv #fulltimervers #FullTimeRVing #fulltimetravel #floridakeys #campground #campgroundreview
