For this particular training I started making their food and whenever they would come towards me, I would stop and move the food away and stare at them. After a few times they started backing up and SITTING down. Each time they would SIT down I would continue prepping the food. I never use words for my training, only hand motions. If they came for it as I was placing it down, I would pick it back up or move it back to the counter and repeat until they caught on. Now they wait patiently as I get them straight with the grub! Give it a try!!
