I don't take this lightly 💯 Thank you guys! Mensch's Deli in Evanston is bringing classic Jewish deli vibes to the North Shore, and I had to check it out. I grabbed the Big Macher sandwich—packed with house-made pastrami and corned beef—and paired it with a crispy potato latke. For the latke, they serve both sour cream and applesauce on the side. I’m firmly Team Sour Cream, but honestly, both hit the spot. If you're in the mood for authentic deli classics, Mensch's has you covered. From matzo ball soup to latkes and smoked fish, this place nails it. Drop by at 1608 Chicago Ave in Evanston and see for yourself—especially if you're debating the ultimate latke dip: sour cream or applesauce. Let me know which side you’re on! #MenschsDeli #JewishDeli #BigMacher #Latkes #EvanstonEats #NorthShoreFood #FoodieAdventures #caresnone
¡Riquísimo! Sometimes the best combinations are the most unexpected. I brought home a warm cup of champurrado from La Taquiza in Racine and paired it with an almond coffee cake from North Shore Kosher Bakery in Chicago. The rich, chocolatey depth of the champurrado blended perfectly with the nutty, slightly sweet almond coffee cake for a flavor combo that's absolutely unmatched. Both are fantastic on their own, but together? A whole new level. If you're in Racine, La Taquiza is a must-visit for authentic Mexican flavors like birria and champurrado. And if you're in Chicago, North Shore Kosher Bakery delivers classic baked goods that are as fresh as they are delicious. Highly recommend trying them both—you’ll see what I mean. #Champurrado #MexicanDrinks #KosherBakery #RacineEats #ChicagoFoodie #CoffeeCakeLove #FoodPairings #FoodExploration #caresnone
I recently visited North Shore Kosher Bakery in Chicago after trying their almond coffee cake at Romanian Kosher Sausage Co. That first bite had me hooked, so I had to check out the bakery itself—and it didn’t disappoint. I met Ayellet (I believe she’s the owner) and tried a variety of treats, including their almond coffee cake, an unreal poppy seed coffee cake, and some amazing Jewish sufganiyot (jelly donuts). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and certified kosher. The poppy seed coffee cake, in particular, was a surprising standout. If you’re into quality baked goods, this place is a must-visit. And if you’re near Romanian Kosher, grab a slice of that almond coffee cake—it’s next-level. #NorthShoreKosherBakery #KosherEats #CoffeeCakeLovers #ChicagoFoodScene #BakeryFinds #caresnone

It's mind-boggling how close we actually all are. Especially from an anthropological perspective. We are just humans doing human shit. And that's pretty dope. Nothing fascinates me more than a human being. With an emphasis on the human mind. #caresnone #culture #humanity
American as apple pie đŸ„§ Apple Holler in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, is the go-to spot for next-level apple-inspired treats. I stopped by and tried their Apple Cider Float, Glazed Caramel Apple Fritter, which was absolutely indulgent, and their Eggnog Pie, a creamy, spiced dream of a dessert. But the real star? Their Dutch Caramel Apple Pie—hands down one of the best apple pies I’ve ever had. I also picked up a box of Apple Cider Donuts and a jar of their Apple Butter, which I haven’t tried yet but already know will be amazing based on everything else I tasted. If you’re into fresh, farm-inspired baked goods, this place delivers. #AppleHoller #WisconsinEats #AppleCiderDonuts #FarmFreshBakery #FoodieFavorites #CaramelApplePie #CiderLovers #EggnogPie #AppleSeason #caresnone

Share the Spicy Schnitzel đŸ˜ĄđŸ€Ł Mile End Deli in Brooklyn is a must-visit for Jewish comfort food with a Canadian twist. I had their Eli Reuben, stacked with smoked meat, corned beef, Swiss, coleslaw, mustard, and Russian dressing on pumpernickel—absolutely incredible. The Spicy Chicken Schnitzel was perfectly crispy with just the right kick. As the Babka King, I couldn’t resist trying their Chocolate Babka, and let me tell you—it delivered! I also had the Canadian Butter Tart, which was rich, buttery perfection. This spot blends tradition and creativity like no other. #MileEndDeli #BrooklynEats #EliReuben #ChocolateBabka #ChickenSchnitzel #ButterTart #JewishComfortFood #NYCFoodie #caresnone
Just maybe the BEST gyro I've ever had đŸ”„ #đŸ‡ŹđŸ‡· Steve and I ordered the lamb yeero from Yeero Revolution in Buffalo Grove via DoorDash, (Also a location in Evanston ) and it was absolutely incredible. Their yeeros are all about authentic Greek street food, with hand-stacked meats that are grilled to perfection. The lamb was tender, flavorful, and fresh—a true standout. And let’s talk about the Revolution Sauce: a unique and delicious addition that elevated every bite. I don’t know exactly what’s in it, but it’s definitely worth experiencing for yourself. This might just be the best yeero I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something. If you’re in the area, Yeero Revolution needs to be on your food radar. #YeeroRevolution #GreekFood #LambYeero #BuffaloGroveEats #AuthenticGreek #BestYeeroEver #FoodieFavorites #ChicagoFoodScene #caresnone

A MUST try babka for sure đŸ’ŻđŸ”„ Montreal’s Boulangerie Cheskie absolutely delivers when it comes to legendary baked goods. Their chocolate babka, described as the "love child of a brownie and brioche roll," is everything it’s hyped up to be—rich, dense, and packed with layers of chocolate. If I hadn’t already locked in my top 2024 babka list, this would easily land in the top three! I also tried their Black and White Cookie, and it was perfectly soft and satisfying. Big thanks to @marriottvip for the thoughtful package and the recommendation—it was much appreciated and definitely a game-changer. #CheskiesBakery #ChocolateBabka #MontrealEats #JewishBakery #TopBabka #BlackAndWhiteCookie #KosherBakery #MarriottVIP #caresnone
Top 10 dish for me! Stopped by Gianni's Cafe in Palatine, and let me tell you—the hype is real. I had their Chicken Giardiniera, and it was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked chicken, topped with that tangy, spicy giardiniera that just takes it to another level. The spot itself is cozy but elegant, and you can tell it's a local favorite because it was packed. If you’re planning to hit this place, I highly recommend making a reservation—it gets busy for a reason. Great location, great vibes, and even better food. If you’re looking for solid Italian food in the northwest suburbs, Gianni’s Cafe should be at the top of your list. 📍 18 W Station St, Palatine, IL 60067 #GiannisCafe #PalatineEats #ItalianFood #ChickenGiardiniera #FoodieFinds #CARESNONE
Season 1 is wrapping up! The CARESNONE x @Babka Bailout collab ends January 10th, and this is your last chance to grab the Peach Cobbler Babka and the Birria Quesadilla Babka. These flavors are đŸ”„, and I’m beyond proud of what we created. A portion of proceeds goes toward chronic lymphocytic leukemia research, something close to my heart as I’ve been diagnosed with it. Season 2 is coming, and trust me—it’s going to be epic. But for now, don’t sleep on these two. The collab wraps January 10th, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. #BabkaBailout #CARESNONE #PeachCobblerBabka #BirriaQuesadillaBabka #SupportGoodCauses #FoodCollab #BabkaKing
