Replying to @jkat16 The best word I can use to describe this whole experience was traumatic. It sort of fractured my perspective on midwifery for the better part of 2024. I just would have never imagined other midwives, people I admired, to so aggressively threaten my career. I can take accountability that the way I present my perspective might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Maybe I can word things better at times. I also accept the fact that people can disagree about whether creating content on social media is professional or not. What I will probably never fully understand is why I couldn’t have been included in the conversation, given a warning, or an opportunity to correct myself. That all being said, I have forgiven, moved on, and I hold no ill will towards anyone involved. So please, do NOT send negativity to my school or anyone involved. This unfortunate situation taught me a lot about myself, what I want, and motivated me to pour much-needed love and energy back into my company. I look forward to sharing more details about my journey to midwifery, this time, in a more authentic way. No sugar coating it. Follow me on IG: @caitlyn_themodernmidwife @lila.laborwear
