Evergreen Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Los Angeles. It has graves that date back to the 1800s, which is very rare to come by in LA. There is even a former slave buried here as well as soldiers who fought in the Civil War. There is so much history here including many of the pioneers who first settled in LA.
