#ChicagoPolitics highlights the city's vibrant political scene, featuring local leaders, engaging discussions, community activism, policy debates, electoral dynamics, social issues, grassroots movements, and a unique blend of culture and governance.
During a one-on-one interview with NBC Chicago's Mary Ann Ahern, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson responded to recent polling from the Harris Poll, which shows that three-fourths of residents think the city would be better off with a different mayor. #brandonjohnson #chicagopolitics
During Tuesday's press conference, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker discussed his relationship with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, stating that Johnson doesn't "reach out often" or engage in the "necessary outreach." Pritzker noted that Johnson has only called him about five times in two years and lacks "good relationships" with Springfield, Illinois. #jbpritzker #brandonjohnson #chicagopolitics
All anyone ever talked about in '24 was how the world was gonna end in '25 because of who's taking office as president. Here's the thing - it's going to take a minute for the city to feel the effect of whoever is in office. However, something that I do predict is going to make a bigger political impact immediately in '25 is the new DA. It feels like the city just got out of a bad relationship and has a new girlfriend that is making us clean up our act. No matter what the reality of the city is, the perception of Chicago has gone downhill and I predict the new DA is going to implement some changes that'll shift the perception and influence the marketplace. We're talking everything we predict is going to happen in 2025 this week on Laricy Live.
