Mating of tarantulas does not always go smoothly, and there is always a risk that the male might be eaten. In nature, it happens the same way: after the male reaches sexual maturity during his final molt, significant changes occur in his body, and from that moment, his sole purpose is to find a female to reproduce. This is their final journey, and they usually have only a few months left to live. However, in captivity, if the male is regularly fed, he can live in a sexually mature state for up to 1.5 years or even longer. P.S. The male in the video survived and was successfully sent for another mating. Thank you to everyone who read to the end.
