🎄 12 Days of LinkedIn Posts 🎄 # 1 Most Engaged Post of 2024 👀 The post that ⚡ sparked ⚡ the most interest, comments, and shares this year takes an inside look at how
#steel is made in the United States using
#recycledmaterials and cutting-edge Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology. ⚡♻️ Thank you for the engagement, conversations, ideas, innovations, business, friendships, and more in 2024 through LinkedIn. It's been an incredible year and this community has been a major part of the journey. 🙏 May you and yours have a beautiful holiday season and a healthy and wealthy new year in 2025. 🎉 ----------> # 1 / 12 🙋♀️ What if I told you the majority of the hashtag steel manufactured in the United States was made from recycled materials? ⚙ For instance, the giant charge bucket (shown in the video below) is about to drop many, many tons of recycled steel into this open-top furnace. What might be even more ⚡ shocking⚡ are the giant electrodes that are about to ⚡ shock ⚡ this steel to the point of remelting it into new steel. ♻ In the United States, over 70% of the steel manufacturers make steel this way. As in they take existing steel and remelt it. Many of them are finding and using green energy sources. 🕺 Some furnaces can even use up to 100% recycled steel... which could possibly explain why these guys are in such a good mood. 📈 Or it's because these electric arc furnaces (shown here) tend to produce higher profit margins for companies in the steel industry. 🌿 💰 So green means a couple different types in this case. 📸 : On the ⏰ 📱 @liquid_steel Steel Manufacturers Association Magnar Metals
