When you are a builder there is no down time. Seriously. Always something front and center needing taken care of. Today we have a bad freeze on the way. Not for many parts of the US but for us in North Texas it is. So I'm in Frisco making sure it's all ok and ready for the cold weather. Turning off water and draining sewer and water is huge with a freeze on the way or there can be serious issues. Must be taken seriously. I enjoy my job but it's a huge amount of responsibility. We have a great team with tons of experience. This ain't this boys first rodeo. How bout new construction experience since 1982. Building custom homes for the elite since 1999. A neat and orderly jobsight always produces a better home for the families who put their trust in us. After we pour we removed the forms, prestressed the post tension and now we have allowed the slab a few days to cure better we are grading around it and redeveloping our drainage. We will pop the lines on this slab soon then measure where the floor system is so it can be being built while we frame the first floor walls. We have it going on in Frisco. Electricians, plumbers, concrete guys, Beam and cable guys are all making sure it's right. So many moving parts to these foundations. We are doing many things to make sure we do the best job we can in getting all these things ready to inspect so we can get this foundation poured. Must be taken seriously. This slab is top notch. Great finish work. Beautiful edges where we have drops. It's a great product. Now it's time to get the forms off, grade this dirt around this slab so it drains. Bring gravel in for this garage area for our lumber so we can be organized. Pop off where these walls go. Get this house framed. Should have some walls end of next week. Let's see how it goes with getting this area cleaned and graded like it needs to be so we can work diligently and organized where things make sense.
