Italian Carrara Marble Fireplace meets Egyptian Blue ✨ Egyptian Blue graces the fireplace surround and bookshelves—a nod to the first blue pigment, invented in ancient Egypt around 2,200 B.C. At the heart of this space lies a handcrafted Italian Carrara marble fireplace, we meticulously designed this to replicate the beauty of early Italian masterpieces. With a rich history dating back to Ancient Rome, Carrara marble has been cherished for centuries. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the marble quarries were overseen by the Cybo and Malaspina families, who established the “Office of Marble” in 1564 to regulate this precious resource. 🇮🇹 This fireplace while may appear somewhat simple at first glance features some of the finest Italian Carrara marble, sculpted with custom carved details and a raised pencil radius that reflects the artistry of this timeless material. This design embodies a rich history, perfectly aligning with our client’s vision for an office/library that tells a story. 📖
