ANTHONY MURRILL Anthony was last seen at his residence in Harris Homes, a now-demolished housing project on Sells Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 14, 1971. He lived with his mother, stepfather and three older siblings, and shared a room with his thirteen-year-old brother. They slept in bunk beds. That night Anthony went to sleep in the top bunk and his brother slept in the lower one. His brother slept through the night and didn't hear or see anything suspicious. When his brother woke up in the morning, he was gone. There were no indications of a struggle. He has never been heard from again. Despite Anthony's young age, the police initially classified him as a runaway and thought he might have traveled to North Carolina where he was originally from and where he still has relatives. His father lived in that state at the time of his disappearance. After they could find no sign of Anthony in North Carolina, authorities changed their minds and said they thought he was still in Atlanta. Anthony's family did not believe he had run away from home. They described him as a normal, happy child who was close to his family, and had no history of getting into trouble and no reason to run away from home. After his disappearance, his mother chained his bicycle to the front porch and kept the light on constantly in case he decided to come home. According to Anthony's brother, the boys' stepfather, Edward Groves, was violent and had once stabbed their mother. A neighbor reported seeing Anthony getting into Groves's car, but then recanted his statement. Groves has not been named as a suspect in Anthony's case, but Anthony's brother thinks he could have been involved. His brother theorizes that their stepfather sent Anthony to live with Groves's family members, possibly in order to hurt Anthony's mother. The case remains unsolved and Anthony's family hopes he is still alive. #anthony #anthonymurrill #murrill #help #unsolved #mystery #whathappened #comehome #answers #black #atlanta #atlantageorgia #1970s #brother #fy #fyp #fypシ #brothers #truecrime #truecrimestory #truecrimeanytime #crimetok #crime #crimejunkie #crimestory #crimes #blm #blacklivesmatter #blackboy #missingboy #anthony #boost #boostofhope #share #awareness #hematters

MICHAEL VAUGHAN Michael was last seen near his home in the area of Southwest 9th Street and Arizona in Fruitland, Idaho on July 27, 2021. He was last seen sometime between 6:40 and 7:00 p.m., and his family notified police of his disappearance at 7:21. He has never been heard from again and extensive searches of the area have turned up no indication of his whereabouts. In November 2022, police searched the residence of Sarah Wondra, who lived with her husband Stacey on Redwing Street about four minutes from Michael's home, and excavated her yard. Before the search was over, they arrested Sandra and charged her with felony failure to report a death in Michael's disappearance. Failure to report a death can be either a misdemeanor or a felony in Idaho. For it to be a felony, the person being charged must have not reported the death with the intent to prevent discovery of the manner of death. Police stated she told them she "definitely did not kill that boy" but that "the most high God just told me that Stacey was the one who killed him and buried him" in the backyard by the shed. She later charged her story and said a man named Adrian had killed Michael. At her initial court hearing, Sarah was found unfit to stand trial in Michael's death. She was committed to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare for mental health treatment and will be evaluated again in 90 days. She faces up to ten years in jail. Stacey has not faced any charges in Michael's case, but he is in custody on unrelated charges. Investigators believe Michael was initially buried on the Wondras' property after his death, but that his body was moved to another location at a later date. No one else has been charged in Michael's case, but authorities said they believe other people besides Sarah know what happened to him. They identified two people, Brandon Shurtliff and Adrian Lucienne, who may have firsthand knowledge of the crime. Both of them lived in the Wondras' home at the time of Michael's disappearance. Neither of them are in Idaho currently; Lucienne is believed to be in Ohio and Shurtliff in North Dakota. Neither of them have come forward with any information. Michael's body has never been located, but foul play is suspected in his case due to the circumstances involved. #michael #michaelvaughan #vaughan #joseph #mike #monkey #mikey #help #fruitland #fruitlandidaho #idaho #missin #missingchild #missingchildren #lost #stolen #where #comehome #crime #truecrime #truestory #truecrimeanytime #crimejunkie #crimetok #crimestory #crimes #blessing #prayers #answers #boost #boostofhope #viralvideo #fy #fyp #fypシ #whataboutangels #angels #dontgiveup

JESSICA GUTIERREZ Jessica was sleeping in a bedroom with her two sisters in her family's Lexington, South Carolina mobile home during the evening hours of June 5, 1986. An unknown intruder or intruders entered into the house sometime between 11:30 p.m. that evening and 9:00 a.m. on June 6, the following morning. The intruder(s) apparently broke in through the living room window and removed the screen and curtains. The abductor(s) then removed Jessica from the bedroom and left the residence through the front door. Jessica's mother discovered the crime scene and her disappearance on the morning of June 6; her six-year-old sister, Rebecca, stated she had been taken by "the man with the magic hat and the beard." She has never been heard from again. Rebecca, now an adult, remembers seeing a man lift Jessica out of the bed, put her over his shoulder and carry her away. She stated the man was able to do this without waking Jessica. Rebecca had been too frightened by what she saw to move or scream. She didn't tell anyone what had happened until the next morning, when Jessica was discovered missing. Investigators focused on Thomas Eric McDowell, a friend of the family who was 27 years old in 1986. He had briefly dated Debra, and shortly after Jessica disappered he stole a car, drove to North Carolina and raped a woman, which resulted in his incarceration from 1987 to 1997. He became a suspect after his fingerprint was found on the window of Jessica's bedroom. It was the only fingerprint on the window; Debra stated she cleaned the windows every night. While he was imprisoned in North Carolina, McDowell allegedly told a cellmate that he had kidnapped a four-year-old girl from her bedroom in Lexington County, South Carolina. He took her to "a logging place" where he raped her, killed her and dismembered her body with a machete, he said. He mentioned that he was wearing a tall cowboy hat at the time of the kidnapping. His cellmate told authorities about his statements, and when police confronted McDowell, he offered to confess if he got immunity from prosecution for the crime. Immunity was denied and McDowell did not speak further on the subject. In 2007, when Rebecca was shown a photo lineup, she picked a photo of McDowell and said this was Jessica's abductor. The photo hadn't been taken until about eight years after Jessica's disappearance, however, so this identification was not considered conclusive at the time and investigators continued to look for more evidence. Rebecca had said in 1986 that her sister's abductor was a black man; she later said she'd been mistaken and he was in fact white. McDowell is white. In January 2022, McDowell was charged with murder, kidnapping and first-degree burglary in Jessica's disappearance. A photo of him is posted with this case summary. The jailhouse informant whom McDowell allegedly confessed Jessica's murder testified against him at the trial. Rebecca also testified about the man she saw in her and Jessica's room that night. In February 2024, McDowell was convicted of all charges after two hours of jury deliberation. He was sentenced to two consecutive terms of life in prison. He isn't the only convicted murderer in his immediate family; his older brother has been on death row in California since 1984. Jessica's remains have never been found, but foul play is suspected in her case due to the circumstances involved. #missing #missinggirl #missingyou #jessica #jessicagutierrez #lexington #southcarolina #lexingtonsc #prayers #motherdaughter #crimetok #stillmissing #solved #coldcasessolved #coldcase #blessings #where #fy #fypシ #fypシ゚viral #oldcase #grief #plead #help #comehome #Homecoming #recovery #truecrime #truecrimestory #crimestory #sadness #loss #unimaginable #💔 #jessie #jesse
