Located in Carolina, Puerto Rico, the ‘LA Dreamhouse’ is 5 minutes from the airport, 12 minutes from San Juan, 15 minutes to Old San Juan, and 7 minutes to Isla Verde Beach. It houses 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms (the half bathroom is outdoors). The whole house is air conditioned and there are TVs in 3/4 bedrooms and the living room. There’s a kitchen, dining area, pool, and washer and dryers but they had locks on them so I am guessing guests can’t use them. Here was our experience: The house was a 10/10. Extremely clean, beautiful interior and exterior, comfortable, and had nice touches like plenty of towels, air fresheners, first aid kit, beach towels, etc. It was perfectly located to everywhere we went and was very easy to get Ubers from. The only con about the house is that one neighbor has a dog that sometimes barks a lot (even in the middle of the night). There are also roosters in the neighborhood you’ll hear and not just at the crack of dawn. The Airbnb host was very responsive (quickly) but not accommodating. I asked for an early check in and the host said “Our priority is to offer you a disinfected and extremely clean stay, it is almost impossible for us to finish before 4:00 p.m.” This was a little frustrating but understandable especially if there were people who checked out the day we checked in. I then asked if we could at least drop off our luggage and the host said “I’m sorry Airbnb policy does not allow us.” This is not an Airbnb policy. This is up to the discretion of the host but I wish they did not say it was a policy of Airbnb because it is not. The host also kept reminding of us of the check in time as if we were planning to show up early. That’s something we would never do unless we had permission and we also couldn’t have even gotten into the house early because we didn’t have the lockbox code. The host sent all this info but seemed to not have wanted to send the lockbox code early. When we noticed they had sent us all of the info except that and it was 30 minutes before check in, we asked for it and they sent it. They were also not able to accommodate a late checkout.
