E is 11 (12 in a few days!) she was born with a congential defect beyond any medical classification for the severity. We were told she would not survive, but she did. 2 months in ICU and 4 major surgeries later, our girl came home. But it did not stop there and she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis earlier this year. Her mutations are so rare, they could only be found thru genetic sequencing and one does not even show up in the CFTR database. All of this has shaped her to be who she is today. She is more than kind, loves fierce, lives with a YOLO attitude, is always ready to fight, and is absolutely brilliant. She is chaos, second child vibes, and probably will take years off my life but she is actual human sunshine and anyone who knows her is beyond lucky.
