Climbing the corporate ladder, taking on more responsibilities, and constantly pushing yourself to get ahead can feel rewarding, but let’s be real: it can come at a price—your health. If you’ve been feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or even physically unwell, that’s your body waving the red flag.🚩 Pay attention because it’s easier to fix things the sooner you nip them. Stress and lack of rest can lead to health problems. Many people say, “Jen, it makes sense, but I am not in any position to quit or walk away.” It’s how I felt during the years my husband was very sick. I could not just remove myself from the stress of my situation, but I could learn how to better walk through it in a way where the stress didn’t overtake me. Here are 5 ways to avoid burnout, thrive at work, and take back control of your well-being: 1️⃣ Prioritize Sleep – Sleep is non-negotiable. Aim for 7-8 hours a night to recharge your mind and body. Your body heals when it’s asleep. It’s why we sleep so much when we feel sick. 2️⃣ Probiotics and herbs – Use specific probiotic strains and herbs that have a calming effect on the body. They support your body with stress, tension, and anxiousness. This can help you manage stress well. (Drop SUPPLEMENTS in the comments and I will send you what I take) 3️⃣ Set Clear Boundaries- Decide on “work hours” and stick to them. Avoid answering emails or working after a certain time to protect your personal life. 4️⃣ Lean on Your Support System – You’re not alone. Talk to a friend, mentor, or loved one about how you’re feeling. Connection is powerful. 5️⃣ Set Time Aside For Something You Enjoy – Schedule moments of joy into your week. Doing something you love helps you recharge mentally and emotionally. Don’t over complicate it…. Watch a movie, order a yummy meal off of DoorDash, read a good book, or take time to soak in a hot bath. You work hard, but remember—your health matters more than any to-do list.
