Dollar Tree Crab Rangoons! I made crab rangoons using only Dollar Tree ingredients, including DIY cream cheese. Not the most practical but a fun experiment. Full Recipe: Cream cheese: 1 Carton (4 Cups) whole milk 2 to 3 TBSP Lemon Juice Heat milk over medium heat until hot (not boiling) Add lemon juice 1 TBSP at a time, stirring well, until small curds form Strain through a tea towel over a strainer letting sit for 15 minutes Blend until smooth, adding salt and whey if needed. Chill to thicken Wonton wrappers: 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup boiling water Mix flour and salt, then add boiling water stirring until a dough forms. Knead by hand for 3 to 5 minutes, then wrap up and let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Roll out very thin on to a flour surface and cut into 3 inch squares Crab Rangoon filling & assembly: Homemade cream cheese (approximately 1 cup) 1 pack imitation crab, rinsed & chopped 1 TBSP sugar 1 TBSP dried chives Oil for frying Mix cream cheese, crab, sugar, and chives. Place 1 tsp filling in the center of each wonton wrapper Brush edges with water and bring all 4 corners up and pinch to seal into a pyramid shape. Fry at 350 degrees until gonden and crispy. S erve with Thai chili sauce for dipping This recipe will make 30 to 40 rangoons. Enjoy!
