Deli meat from scratch 🥪 I love me a Scooby Doo type sandwich lol Homemade Smoked Maple Turkey Deli Meat Yield: ~1.5 lbs Ingredients: 1.5 lbs ground turkey tenderloin (or prepared ground turkey) 1 ½ tsp salt 1 tbsp McCormick Smokehouse Maple seasoning 1 tsp Garlic Galore Garlic & Herb seasoning (⛓️💥 in my profile to shop) 1 tsp McCormick Umami seasoning 1 tbsp maple syrup Instructions: Mix the Meat In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey with salt, Smokehouse Maple seasoning, Garlic & Herb seasoning, Umami seasoning, and maple syrup. Mix thoroughly until the seasoning is well incorporated. Kneading for 3–5 minutes helps the protein bind for a firmer texture. Shape and Pack Transfer the seasoned turkey mixture into your ham maker. Press down firmly to eliminate air pockets, then secure the lid. Cook the Turkey Fill a large pot with water and heat to 170°F (77°C). Submerge the ham maker, ensuring water covers at least ¾ of it. Cook for 90 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Chill and Set Remove the ham maker from the water and let it cool to room temperature. Transfer to the fridge for at least 6 hours (overnight for best results) to allow flavors to meld and the texture to firm up. Slice and Enjoy Once chilled, remove the deli meat from the ham maker, slice thinly, and enjoy in sandwiches, wraps, or charcuterie boards.
