Our 4 most controversial home DIYs 🫣 ✨First is when we ripped out the hardwood floors in our house. The reason we did this is because the hardwood floors were ONLY in the entryway/hallway—not any other room AND they weren’t in great shape overall. We wanted to have a cohesive floor in our home, so we decided to remove them. ✨The second most controversial move was when we painted our laminate countertops. We wanted a temporary solution that would update our countertops while we saved up for a more permanent countertop replacement. Even though painting laminate countertops isn’t for everyone, I’m really happy with how this project turned out—especially since it only cost $100! ✨ Third is our pea gravel/paver patio Our deck was completely rotting and needed to be replaced. I loved the look of pea gravel checkerboard patios, and we decided to give it a try! Last summer was busy and stressful due to some personal reasons, so we still need to finish landscaping around the patio and decorating, but I can’t wait until it’s totally finished 🥰 ✨ Finally, painting our fireplace I HATED the tile that surrounded our fireplace. It made the room feel really dark and dingy, and painting it completely transformed the vibe of the room. I love how light and airy it is now, and all it took was a little paint!! Moral of the story, not everyone is going to like the choices you make in your home, so go ahead and do the projects that YOU want to do in YOUR home. Follow for more home diy inspiration!!
