Well Missi had her yearly Echo done. Rather not amazing news, but there was still a silver lining. Grateful no meds yet. However, her left atrium of her heart was 1.3 last year and now today measured at 1.48 ish. Which means when it gets to 1.5 she’ll need to be on heart meds. Her heart is slowly enlarging. Her heart murmur which is okay is a grade 3, that can go up till a grade 6(which isn’t a big concern). So with that being said, the dr more worried about her arrhythmia. That just started around February. It’s heartbreaking, but we will re do another echo in another 6mos-1 year, along with doing X-rays to see how her heart looks. However, I have to pay close attention to her breathing/arrhythmia(thank god for having a stethoscope), and if her heart starts really racing I need to call the dr. So bottom line is it’s either going to be her heart , or back end that gives out first with the disc disease and arthritis .🤦🏽♀️ I’m beyond glad I work at a vet and can have this done and basically dumb down to understand. This ball of love gives me such anxiety but I wouldn’t ask for a better dog. She’s does amazing and lays there and she just loves people. I couldn’t ask for a better soul dog! Momma loves you my miss miss!🥰💕
