You do not have to be good at math to be successful at dosage calculations Solving with dimensional analysis will be like solving a puzzle, not doing math. If you’re doing dimensional analysis and find it difficult make sure you’re writing your units of measure next to your numbers. Memorizing your metric conversions is a must. The ones you really use to most are: 1 gram=1000mg 1mg=1000 mcg 1kg=1000 grams 1kg=2.2 lbs 1tsp=5 mL 1tbsp=15 mL 1 ounce= 30mL Most questions are full of FLUFF (information to distract you that you don’t need). I suggest you find the goal after reading the question, this will help weed out FLUFF!!!! Stop writing long numbers down and re entering them in your calculator. The more steps you take, the more mistakes you’re likely to make. Quit converting everything prematurely. The math is going to math if you set everything up including conversions in the dimensional analysis equation. If you’re still lost after reading these tips.
