This time my daughter was lucky ... but what about the next time? By the grace of God, he didn't pull the trigger. At approximately 9:30 AM on Sunday, my daughter was face with a gun pointed directly at her head. Less than two minutes away from her apartment outside of a Starbucks in downtown LA the crime, the homelessness, is horrific, and it seems nothing is being done. The amount of vile drug infested stories and scaryencounters that my daughter has been through while going to school in downtown LA -really seems unbelievable And don't even get me started on the horror stories of the metro which she takes to work in Santa Monica on the weekend. Something has to be done - It is clear to me that the city, the county in the state are turning a blind eye. While I don't live in California, my daughter does - The only thing I know to do, is to use my voice, to use my platform, to shed light on this horrific unfolding of humanity in downtown LA, and quite frankly much of California.
