Replying to @Saimz An earlier bedtime is going to help your child get the maximum hours of sleep possible which is what you want for the best brain & body growth and best temperament/behavior. It is also more in line with a child’s natural circadian rhythm. Babies and toddlers need many more hours of sleep than adults do so they need to get to bed earlier in order for that to happen. They also should get as much exposure to light as possible while they’re awake and a late bedtime means so many of their waking hours are in the dark with artificial lighting (also not the best thing for sleep). *And please know this does not apply to newborns who often do better with a later bedtime. After 5-6 MO is when it should be moved up to this earlier range* Follow for more baby & toddler sleep tips and click the 🔗 in my bio for my gentle baby and toddler sleep classes!
