Two years ago today, I bought a cute little Xerosicyos Danguyi aka Silver Dollar Vine from a little plant store in Queens. It’s grown into a massive specimen, here is how I did it! 👇🏾 ☀️🌞: I put I right in the sunniest spot in the house. Directly in front of my south window, like literally up against it. When I first got it, I tried the whole ‘bright indirect’ thing but it just sat there and did nothing. As soon as I blasted it with light, it took off. 💦💧: along with a lot of light, I give it a lot of water like a lot. It belongs to the cucumber family so it can store a a lot of water. I often find myself underwatering succulents and this has been no exception, this plant does best when I water it as frequently as my aroids. It is in a rather small pot so I’m sure that is a contributing factor, but frequent watering really helps. 🏜️: the recommendations I found said to put it in succulent soil but I chose not to because of it’s high water needs. I have it in aroid mix for aeration but that does still allow for some water retention. Should I put this bad boy on a trellis? It’s getting out of hand! Do you have one of these? 🌿: @mybonita.gardens
