The most severe form of heat injury, heat stroke occurs when the body's temperature regulation fails due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures or physical exertion in high temperatures.
S/S: High body temperature (104 F or higher), altered mental state or behavior, alteration in sweating, nausea and vomiting, flushed skin, rapid breathing, racing heart rate, and headache.
